About

Welcome to MacNab Presbyterian Church

The congregation of MacNab has been worshipping and serving in the downtown heart of Hamilton for over 160 years. We are a vibrant, multicultural congregation that draws from across the greater Hamilton area.  MacNab offers two worship services each Sunday, and has many events happening throughout the year.

MacNab Church is an active, caring, and enthusiastic community of faith, committed to following the path of Jesus Christ since its formation in 1854.  Our membership comes from a wide variety of cultures and we are proud of our diversity. We offer hope and friendship to one and all, relevant and thought-filled preaching, joyful traditional music.  We are excited about the future, while respecting our rich history.

Our beautiful and historic building features a long centre aisle and magnificent stained glass windows. We offer a church school program as well as a nursery in the attached Hall. Accessible parking is available onsite, and the church is wheelchair accessible.

The celebration of Holy Communion is observed the 1st Sunday in March, June, October, and December.  Celebrations of Life (weddings, baptisms, funerals) can be arranged with the Minister by contacting the church office.

MACNAB IS A CHILD FRIENDLY CHURCH

The Church School & Nursery is located in the Parlour of the Church building. Children who wish to stay with their parents for the church service will find colouring materials in the Narthex (entrance). Ushers will be happy to assist with any questions. We follow the Leading With Care policy of our national church which applies to children and vulnerable adults.

STATEMENT OF INCLUSION

In the summer of 2019, the Statement of Inclusion was presented to the Church. It is now framed and posted in locations throughout the church building, as well as appearing in an abbreviated form in the weekly church bulletins. The full Statement of Inclusion was written by members of the Inclusion Committee, and accepted by Session.
